Ulsterbus Tours take delivery of SIX new luxury coaches!
'
Ulsterbus Tours, a Coachmarque member for many years, with operating bases in Northern Ireland and Scotland has taken delivery in April of six new luxury coaches.

These coaches will be used primarily on continental European tours to the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Austria and Switzerland as well as coach holidays all over the UK. They will also be available for private hire when not engaged on tour work.

Built near San Sebastian in Spain by Irizar, they have Scania chassis/engines; a combination already well tried and tested by Ulsterbus Tours. They will be the first three-axle coaches with rear wheel steering to be operated by the company. Adrian Thompson, Operations Manager, commented that the three axles, as well as ensuring better road holding, would allow these coaches to operate with full passenger loads and accompanying baggage yet stay well within tight UK weight restrictions.

Although there is room for 60 or more seats in the 14 metre length, Ulsterbus Tours have only had 52 seats fitted to permit extra leg room per seat. Seats are in full navy coloured leather creating a luxurious executive finish to the interior.

Other features of these coaches include Hispacold air conditioning/climate control, reclining seats with footrests, floor level toilet, multiplay CD player, DVD player with two large screens, drinks refrigerator, kneeling / raising facility, and they surpass all the latest safety requirements. The engines are of EURO IV standard meaning that control of emissions meet and surpass stringent government emissions standards.

Ulsterbus Tours are proud to receive this luxury addition to their fleet at a time when investment confidence in the industry is admittedly not at its highest. The new coaches will no doubt help to ensure customers choose their products.
