Ulsterbus Tours is the luxury coach wing on Ulsterbus Ltd – the state owned company responsible for virtually all public transport in Northern Ireland operating under the “translink” brand name. Ulsterbus has been operating coach tours since it was formed in 17th April 1967. In its earlier incarnations, the company has been running coach tours back as far as between the 1st and 2nd world wars.
Today, Ulsterbus Tours is mainly engaged in coach touring holidays within Ireland, in the UK and in mainland Europe – all for a range of durations and price ranges. These are complemented by our other services: Coach Hire, Day Tours, Educational Tours and our Cross Channel Express network.
Ulsterbus Tours has long been the market leader in Northern Ireland and is recognised by the coach industry and customers, winning many prestigious awards in recent years for the quality of its operations.
Ulsterbus Tours employs a peak workforce of around 67 staff and has a dedicated fleet of 33 coaches. It operates from Euorpa Buscentre in Belfast, with a small operations base in Stranaer in Scotland which is mainly for Cross Channel Express work and some local coach hire business.
On average, 630 tours are operated each year carrying almost 25,500 customers across Ireland, the UK and Europe. The Cross Channel Express service carries around 100,000 per year and the Coach Hire department provides over 3,500 hires annually.
Ulsterbus Tours has over 30 years experience of private coach hire, planning and operating tour holidays and short breaks – their dedicated team can plan a special coach trip any customer.
Ulsterbus Tours also arranges, on your behalf, all inclusive packages that can include extras such as hotel accommodation, ferry crossings, visits to tourist attractions and concert or sporting event tickets.
